TREBEL DEFEAT AT THE HANDS OF COURCEY ROVERS - (Number of times read: 1029)

The Doheny U14 girls met Courcey Rovers in the final of West Cork League. They were unlucky to have been beaten in this exciting final against a strong Courcey's side. They played well throughout but scores were hard fought and at the final whistle victory was claimed by the Courcey girls. This team has put down a great league campaign and thanks to all involved and those that travelled to support the girls. Final score: Dohenys 2-2 Courcey Rovers 3-8

The U12's played a league game against Courcey Rovers on Saturday last and were well beaten however they gained some valuable experience and team Manager Jerry Mahony said they are looking forward to their next outing against Clon.
Things have quietened down for the U16's until after the exams , but they too suffered a defeat in their last league game against Courcey Rovers. The Doheny girls dominated much of the game and scored some great points from play but Courceys used the ball well and pointed over some easy scores. Final Score: Dohenys 1-6 Courceys 2-7.
The Junior team have changed training to Thursday evenings and are busy preparing for the Munster Ladies Sevens annual tournament in the Clonakilty complex scheduled for Saturday June 25th.
