Jerry O'Mahony | Tuesday 5 April 2011

Under 16 footballers were well beaten by Newcestown on Wednesday evening. Unfortunally this team is graded too high and is doing nothing improve their game.

Under 14 footballers were given a lesson in passion and pride by Castlehaven on Friday night as this was both of these two teams first outing of the year. There is a lot of improvement needed.

Under 11 training on Sunday morning was well attended and a good session was given by some very high profile coaches. Well done lads

Under 14 hurling team travelled to Youghal on Sunday to play the first round in the Feile. These lads were well out of their dept but however there was some excellent promformances by Mark Buckley, Adrian Cronin, And Jerry O’ Farrell.

Under 13 hurlers started their league campaign away to Barryroe. As last year’s goalkeeper has moved on, his replacement gave an excellent account of himself in goal. This was a great overall team performance. With Mark Buckley and James O’ Sullivan controlling midfield, Jerry O’ Farrell giving an outstanding performance at centre back as well as Adrian Cronin full back. Sean Hutson was the pick of the forwards getting some excellent scores. Half time score 1-3 to 4-3 in favour of Sam Maguire’s. Sam Maguire’s with on to win comfortable.
