READY STEADY PLAY PROGRAMME - (Number of times read: 644)

Mairead Mawe | Tuesday 5 April 2011

The Ready Steady Play programme is aimed at encouraging parents who stand on the sideline to cross the line and help the coach/mentor to take the team and help out with the underage structure of the club. New volunteers get the opportunity to take part in a coaching session and learn how to set up drills to give them confidence to become involved in your club. This course is free and is only 2 hours long. The course will introduce participants to the rules of ladies Gaelic football, basic skills, warms ups, skill breakdown etc and lots more. The course has been a huge success in other clubs across the country and has encouraged clubs to grow and develop due to new help and support from parents and the local community.
