IRISH NIGHT & RESULTS ROUNDUP - (Number of times read: 497)

A very successful Irish Night was held in the G.A.A. Pavilion last Wednesday night. Cutural Officer Derry McCarthy organised a great night's entertainment for young and old.  Chairperson Jerry O'Mahony said "this is a very special year for the Doheny Club as it is celebrating its 125 year anniversary.  It is great to see our culture so strong".
 
The Doheny Club had a very a attractive float in the St. Patrick's Day Parade marking the first game played under GAA Rules.
 
The senior footballers carried a good run in the Kelleher Shield in Ballincollig on Saturday winning Dohenys 5-7 to Ballincollig 0-6.  The junior hurlers got off to a great start winning their first league game on Sunday against Randal Ogs.  Dohenys 1-12.  Randal Og 1-5.
