The Doheny Senior Footballers continued their bid for league promotion with a long mid-week journey to East Cork to face Aghada.
On a beautiful evening- following an open free-flowing game of football- Dohenys emerged victorious on a score-line of 4-11 v 1-13.
The game of football was marked by excellent- direct, quick and incisive Dohenys attacking.
The work of Dohenys midfield duo Johnny Kelly and Cathal O Donovan gave Dohenys the platform to play some very good football.
To the fore in an excellent team performance were goal-scorers Fionn Herlihy (2-0), Mark Buckley (1-1) and Keith White (1-1) who ran the Agahada defence ragged.
Brendan McCarthy, Barry O Donovan, Eoin Lavers, Sean Daly and Jamie Carroll also contributed significantly to an excellent and important win.
