The Doheny
senior footballers lost to Aghada on a score-line of 0-13 to 1-08 in Ovens on
Saturday evening last. Dohenys will now play CIT who lost to Castlehaven
over the weekend in round 1 of the Senior football championhship.
The U21 A West
Cork final has been fixed for Sunday 30th of April at 7.30pm.
Dohenys will play the winners of Castlehaven or Newcestown in the final.
Strictly
Dunmanway Dancing will take place in The Parkway Hotel in November and we
are looking for 28 contestants to take part. 14 men and 14 women will be paired
together and receive 10 weeks of professional lessons before the two night
event. You need to be over 18 years of age and be available for all of the
dancing lessons. Proceeds from the event will go to the Doheny G.A.A. Club and
also benefit the Sam Maguire (Underage) G.A.A. Club and Doheny Ladies G.A.A.
Club. This event has proved hugely successful in many other communities and we
expect it to be very enjoyable for all involved. For further information,

Lotto:
There was no
winner of the Doheny GAA Club’s Lotto Jackpot of €4,400
held on Sunday night last. The numbers drawn were 07, 14 &
36. Consolation prizes went to Betty Cronin, Murphy Place, Yvonne
McCarthy, Mullough & Joanne & Gillian Galvin, The Southern Bar.
The jackpot now stands at €4,600 and the next draw takes place in the Castle
Bar on Sunday next 23rd of April 2017.
