Congratulations to the Cork Senior footballers and to Conor Counihan and his background team on winning the National League.
The Doheny senior footballers are putting their final touches together for the up and coming Senior Championship against Bishoptown on 8th of May in Bandon.
Junior hurlers trained on Wednesday night and had a good number of players out. They trained again on Saturday evening. Their Championship is 6th of June.
Junior footballers were away to Kilmurry on Thursday night last. They had a worthwhile workout as they were too strong for Kilmurry. Dohenys 3-9 Kilmurry 1-10. They were away to Castlehaven on Sunday. Unfortunately they lost this game. Noel Collins picked up a nasty hand injury, everyone in the club wishes Noel a speedy recovery.
Preparations are starting for the annual Golf Classic. The date pencilled in for this golf outing is 18th of June. This event takes place in Skibbereen golf course as usually.
All clubs are reminded to organiser Lá Na Club on 9th of May. This has become an annual event over the past two years.
There was no winner in this week’s lotto. Next week’s jackpot is €4000
