DOHENY GAA NOTES - (Number of times read: 1135)

The “Doheny Victory Celebration” takes place in the
Parkway Hotel on Saturday the 27th of January at 7.30pm. The social is celebrating the following
successes: the Doheny Ladies Junior West Cork Championship, the Doheny U21 A
West Cork football championship, the U21 B West Cork Hurling Championship &
the Sam Maguire Minor footballers who won both the County & West Cork
championships & leagues in 2017. There’ll be two bands playing on the
night Dura Ceoil and The Music Makers. A buffet meal will be
provided. The night will conclude with a disco. The
Club are trying to create a more relaxed and joyous occasion where people can
let down their hair and get over the January blues. Speeches and any
formalities will be kept to a minimum as practical as possible on the
night. Tickets priced at €20 & can
be sourced through any Doheny Executive member. This invite extends out
to all members of the Dunmanway community & friends of the Club!
Sam Maguire AGM
The Sam Maguire Underage Club will host their AGM this
Monday night at 8pm in the GAA Pavilion. The club is always looking for
more people to come forward to get involved in the running of the teams and the
underage section of the club itself. The Sam Maguires would be delighted
to welcome anybody with an interest in helping out in developing the next
generation of hurlers and footballers in our club. There are a huge
variety of roles in the underage club, and no matter what your level of
availability, experience or knowledge there is a role for everyone with an
interest in the games.
Lotto
There was no winner of the Doheny GAA Club’s Lotto Jackpot
of €1,400 held on Sunday night last. The numbers drawn were 05, 07 &
38. Consolation prizes went to Cian Hurley, St Marys Park, Adan
O’Donovan, Kinrath & Eirinn O’Donovan, Shamrock Bar. The jackpot now
stands at €1,460 and the next draw takes place in the Arch Bar on Sunday night
21st of January 2018.
