Huge interest being shown, lots of inquiries on this special occasion to mark the Doheny G.A.A. 125 years celebrations. Special guests on the night. John Allen former Cork hurling manager, Richie Bennis former Limerick hurling manager and All Ireland winning captain in 1973, Kerry legend Paudie O’ Shea and double All Ireland winner Niall Cahalane. Master on the night Finbarr McCarthy 96fm. This promises to be a very special night for the club. Tickets available from committee members, at €10 ahead.
Senior footballers continue their good run in the Kelleher Shield. They played O’ Donavan Rossa in Cloughduv under lights last Wednesday night. Half time score Rossa 0-6p Doheny 0-4p. Dohenys gave a good account of themselves in the second half and deserved a draw for the effort given. Alan Sheehan kicking some great points from frees. This was the first compedited match since our ace forward emigrated to New York. Jer has given the Doheny team lots of good memories in the past. Hopefully he will be back playing with us again soon.

Junior hurlers were at home in Barryroe on Friday night. This was a game that was there to be won. With Dohenys having a huge share of possession. When you get these chances you have to take them. It was notable that Dohenys had little work done. Half time score 0-6p to 0-5p in favour of Barryroe. Full time score 9pts each.
