CLUB WINS MCNAMEE AWARD - (Number of times read: 2041)

The Doheny Gaa Club have received an McNamee Award for the Best GAA Website (www.dohenygaa.com) in Ireland for 2006. These awards are presented annually by the GAA in recognition of outstanding contributions made by individuals in the area of communications. The concept evolved as a result of the Mc Namee report published in 1971.

The Award will be presented by GAA President Nicky Brennan at a function in Croke Park on Sunday July 22nd following the All Ireland Hurling Quarter Finals.

The website has been in existence since January 2006 and is regualry visited by people from all over the world.
