Comments: I think I speak on behalf of all the DOHENY family when I say we are still in a state of shock and still trying to come to terms with PAT MCS death. PAT was one of those people you think is going to live forever but unfortunately like us all that's never the case. It was a priveldge for me to know him, a true loyal DOHENY man who spent every spare minute he had helping the club in any way he could from lining pitches to glueing broken hurleys to fixing broken windows to stamping and stapling our lotto books, he did them all and more and did them 100% no half measures with PAT.I hope PAT you are looking down on us as we try to carry on. As Mairead said there are thousands of pat mccarthys but only ONE PAT MC...May you rest in peace

Comments: We were devastated today when we heard of the passing of another Doheny soldier : Pat Mac. There are no words of comfort to offer my friends the McCarthy family at this time only time is a great healer.
Never one to shy away from an argument Pat Mac was as passionate in his arguments as he was in all the projects he undertook. His dedication to the Doheny Club, his love for fishing and his gra for his hometown and history of Dunmanway made up the great character he was.

He will be sadly missed by myself and my family and I know that memories of Pat will pass through the ages and his memory will always be kept alive.
There are a lot of Pat McCarthys in the world but there will always only be one Pat Mac.
