Playing Activities
The Senior Footballers got back to winning ways in Division 2 of the football league by defeating St. Michaels at home in Sam Maguire Park on a score-line of 3-08 to 1-07 on Sunday morning last. A strong finish by the home side sealed a much deserved victory.  Unfortunately the Junior A Footballer’s winning start to the league came undone at the hands of Clonakilty on Sunday evening last on a score-line of 1-13 to 1-08 in Aghamilla.

The U21 A Footballers are in action this coming weekend against reigning champions Clonakilty in the semi-final of the U21 A West Cork Championship in Rosscarbery this Sunday 23rd at 3.45pm.  Clonakilty would be considered favourites for this match as they still have a lot of the players at their disposal from the team that won the U21 A West Cork Championship and contested the County Final in 2013.  In saying that there is great potential in this young Doheny team and if they play to the best of their ability they will be a match for any team.  Please come out and support the team!

Lotto:
There was no winner of the Doheny GAA Club’s Lotto Jackpot of €2,200 held on Sunday night last in Kearney’s Bar.  The numbers drawn were 02, 14 & 16. Consolation prizes went to Eilish Calnan, Shinagh, Hilliard Children, Knockhaduve & Robbie Fuller Jnr, Main St.  The jackpot now stands at €2,400 and the next draw takes place in the Hitching Post on Sunday next, 23rd of March 2014.
